during professional career. These CDs were donated to medical
colleges all over India.
Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar has brought in the technology and
techniques FIRSTLY In TAMILNADU advanced facilities like ,Endo
Ultra Sonography, Holmium Laser Lithotripsy, BalloonEnteroscopy,
SpyGlass Cholangio Pancreatoscopy, Intensive Digestive Care Unit,
Liver ICU, Esophageal Lab and Constipation Relief Lab and
endoscopy techniques such asbanding and Glue Injection
forbleeding Varices, SEMS for esophageal malignancy,
metallicstenting for inoperable cancer andPer Oral Endoscopic
Myotomyand Advanced ERCP
Created a hybrid porcine animal model for training young
specialists in advanced and complex Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
procedures such as Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM)
Dr. T. S. Chandrasekar has many research based articles published
in peer reviewed International and National Journals. These
iinclude Medical Books and Book Chapters in Gastroenterology
iincluding a Hand Book on Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. T.S. Chandrasekar was the meritorious recipient of the Tamil
Nadu Scientist Award for contributions to medical sciences. This
recognition was bestowed on Dr. Chandrasekar by the Tamil Nadu
State Council for Science & Technology, Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
